Event - Meeting of the Executive Secretaries of the PROCI'S

The Executive Secretaries of the five Cooperative Programs in Agricultural Research and Technology (the PROCIS) will meet in Costa Rica on November 3, 2010.

The objective of the meeting is to initiate a dialog on strengthening collaboration between these cooperation mechanisms supported by IICA.

The meeting will bring together specialists from the Program on Innovation for Productivity and Competitiveness of IICA who will discuss relevant issues to improve the technical cooperation provided to the regions, such as:

1. what is the institutional framework to promote innovation in the countries and regions
2. what is the legal and normative framework that supports agricultural research and innovation

3. what tools are required to promote more collaboration

The meeting will take place during the First Meeting of Institutional Management organized by IICA.
